Purpose
The Metroplex Black Nurses Association was formed to provide a forum for the following:

The star in the North Texas location represents the Metroplex, which is also symbolic of the Dallas Cowboys and the logo for the State of Texas.
The black shape of Texas in the center represents the Black Americans, along with other minority groups in our society who are by design or neglect, excluded from the means to achieve access to the health mainstream of America.
The red cross shape colored in America’s flag shown in this logo represents the nurses who perform health care in America.
Mission
Promoting positive health behaviors through community service.
To define and determine the nursing care for Black consumers and to advocate for optimum quality care.
To act as a network and a unifying vehicle for all Black nurses and nursing students.
